Protected

While taking a walk in the woods, I noticed these discarded jars with plants growing in them. The plants were protected from the elements  and flourishing, when all around them everything else was dead.
As I start the New Year begins,  I am reminded that because I have Christ in me, I am protected and have life while around me there is lost and dying world. May I not stop there, but be always inviting others to come to Him also.

"Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these." Luke 12:27

"And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:19

No power of hell
No scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Til He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power
of Christ I'll stand.

  3. Good eye to even notice the plants growing in the jars. I love the analogy, too. It makes me feel secure; we are so safe in Christ. (And I love that song...)
    Happy New Year Brenda!

  9. Of course I loved all your photos of your cold ride on your horses, but these photos and your comments about being protected by God were too beautiful not to comment on. What a great visual!
