Our Lives Reflected

Remember, it is not our light that people are looking at, but instead, they should be looking at the light of God reflecting through us. God’s light is so much brighter than anything we could ever produce. Our problem is making sure we are living our lives in a manner that is pleasing to God so that we will properly reflect God’s light to the world.

When people look at you, they should see God and their attention should be drawn to HIM. God is alive and powerful; how will the world know this unless you draw their attention unto HIM. (copied)

Reach My Goal

“…I will reach my goal. In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow and the next day.” (Luke 13:32b-33)
This was Jesus’ reply to Herod’s threat of death to Him. Isn’t it comforting to know that nothing can stop Jesus from reaching His goal in our lives. When we live our lives according to God’s will, no Herod in the world can thwart our efforts at reaching God’s goal either. Not a Herod of sickness nor a Herod of crisis. Not even a Herod that seems to hand us over to death. When our lives are surrendered to the authority of Jesus Christ, our Herods may be used only as puppets to bring about the will of God, but they pose no threat to the plan.

“Now when they have finished their testimony… (Rev. 11:7)
Death cannot come to the obedient children of God until they have finished their testimony. Strengthened by His power and shielded by His protection, we will reach our goal. (from Beth Moore’s “Jesus the One and Only”

In any case, I must keep going today and tomorrow
and the next day.

Sunflower Obsession

I think I have sunflower obsession. I can't quit taking pictures of them. I ride the horse to them, the bicycle and keep driving over.

These are the Days of our Lives

Ecc. 5:19 “Moreover when
God gives any man wealth & possessions and enables him to enjoy them to accept his lot and be happy in his work, this is a gift of God.
He seldoms reflects on the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart."

Some people have a way about them. They can see God and His hand of provision. They have a sense of direction for their lives. That is the type of woman, I want to become. They are spiritually awake and alert. They aren’t bogged down in sin or wading through mountains of consequences.
They aren’t so mad anymore either at God or the way life didn’t turn out. They are incredibly dependent on being able to see and hear from God. They have a holy thirst and aren’t satisfied with only a taste of God.
