A Prayer for a Friend

The lady on the left is a friend on mine needing prayer. Yesterday she had an accident on her horse and was airlifted to the Trauma Unit. She keeps her horse across the street from me and yesterday I saw the flight for life helicopter land and take off. I thought it was a car accident. She had fallen off her horse and her neck is broken. She was surgery this morning and the vertebras that move your arms and legs were crushed in the fall and being fused back together. The next two days will tell if the surgery was successful or not.
Life is so uncertain. I was thinking this morning. A group of ladies including her had started a Bible Study in the barn (a nice, nice barn) and rode afterwards. I was wondering if this was preparing them for the days ahead. For weeks they had studied together and prayed together. Please pray for Barbara.

  1. I just got home and read your blog. I prayed for Barbra. I don't know her other than she sounds like she is my Sister in Christ Jesus. It is hard to understand why things like this happen. God knows and I pray that He will be with Barbra every step of the way. I pray for healing and restoration, I pray that God's Will would be done, and He would receive Honor and Glory and Praise. I pray this would all work together for good. I pray in The name of Jesus Christ out Lord and Savior who is also our Healer and Deliverer, and so much more.

  2. I am so sorry to hear this. It is so true we never know what is ahead for us in this life. I will pray for her and add her to the Prayer Request page on Spiritual Sundays. BTW the link didn't work. I sent you an e-mail and then I did a little research from comments you had made and found it and changed the link so it works now.
    Blessings,

  6. Oh, Brenda. This is so heart-wrenching. I am praying now for Barbara too. May the Lord bring her full healing. I also pray for her Bible study friends to be good ministers to her. Life can change in a split second for any of us.

  11. For an update, the news has not been good. She is on caring bridge and is barbaramoore2 if anyone wants to read it. Next few weeks when the swelling goes down may indicate how much is damaged. Please pray for her and her family and friends. It stays on mind constantly and I take that as a reminder to prayer continually.

  12. I just read about your friend, Barbara. I am so sorry to hear this. I will remember her and her family in my prayers. Some things are hard to unstand and we all question>> why. But we have to keep the faith and believe God's will ...will be done.

A family member just lost her husband, his horse got spooked and he fall on his head and died instantly. They air lifted him but no hope. Dr. said his head was hit wrong and he never knew it. He was a donorer and another young man got his kidney. No matter how we look at it, we have to remember "GOD is in control". We all have numbered days....only God knows which day will be our last. Thats why we need to live each day to be more like Him. Prayers are with you all.
