Habakkuk

"Their horses are swifter than leopards." Habakkuk. 1:8

The book of Habakkuk has so many lessons for us..

"How long O Lord must I call for help...Why do you tolerate wrong?"   (1:2-3) (Habakkuk was crying out to God because of the wickedness of Judah.)

(The Lord's answer in vs. 6) ..."I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe...I am raising up the Babylonians, that ruthless and impetuous people."

(It was unbelievable to Habakkuk that He was sending men who lives were more wicked than Judah's. Habakkuk questioned why but waited for the Lord's response),
"I will stand at my watch, and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what He will say to me." (2:1)

(2:2) Then the Lord replied: "Write down the revelation (His Plan) and make it plain on the tablets...though it linger, wait for it.(Wait) "But the righteous will live by this faith (Have Faith)." (14) "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord." (God will be glorified) (20) "But the Lord is in His holy temple; let all the earth be silent before Him."(Calm down, He has things under control. He is still on the throne.)

(3:2) "Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord, Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy." (Prayer and faith go hand in hand) (16-17) "Yet I will wait patiently...Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crops fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to go on the heights." (Live in an attitude of victory. Praise Him through anything. Take your eyes off difficulties and look to God. Rejoice in the Lord always.)
"His glory covered the earth, His splendor was like the sunrise; rays flashed from his hand." Hab. 3:3b
