Saturday was "Earth Day"--"Celebrating 'Mother Earth'". This bothered me. I don't know enough about this day to call it good or bad. But Friday was Good Friday and Sunday was Easter. I felt like this was the world's way of taking the focus off our Lord.
God's Word gives us His thoughts the earth and His control over it. We don't need to praise the earth. The earth praises our Lord as we should freely do.
Ps. 148:7 "Praise the Lord from the earth...you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and cedars. Let them praise the name of the Lord for His name alone is exalted."
Ps. 96:12 "Let the fields be jubilant and everything in them, then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy."
Ps. 98:8 "Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy."
This is the verse that is convicting to me.
Luke 19:40 "I tell you He (Jesus) replied, If they keep quiet, the stone will cry out."
Am I praising Him and telling others about Him or does Jesus have to ask the stones to cry out?
wonderful wonderful wonderful post!!!
