Stand with me in the Gap

"I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap." Exe. 22:20

"And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness for do not know how to pray as we should but the Spirit Himself intercedes...for the saints according to the will of God." Rom. 8:26 & 27.

I am asking prayer for the family that my daughter helped that I wrote about a couple of post back A Tender Heart. I won't be able to give alot of details for her protection but she needs so many prayers.

Pray for safe travel--possibly back to her homeland. Possibly tomorrow.

Pray for the days ahead for them. She talked to my d. and son in law and and told them that she felt empty inside and wanted what she saw in them. She asked if she could buy it for herself and her children. She was able to attend church with them and said her children have sang a beautiful song all week. She asked the children--What was the name of that song? It was "Jesus loves me". One little on kept saying "Mama, I want to go to Heaven when I die." She said me too if there is a Heaven.

They gave her a Bible with passages marked and she said she became a Christian. She said she read the entire Bible during this week. She wasn't able to keep the Bible and returned it to them.  They have talked to her and tried to communicate what this means in a way she could understand. Pray she did. She was concerned that God would be mad at her because she wouldn't be able to share her faith with others. They explained that are like His children and He love us.

I told her there is one verse that says, "Greater is He that in us than He that is in the world." She said that is beautiful. Pray she remembers that in the days ahead.

We are so blessed. We can have a Bible in every room, on our phone, our computer and playing on cds in the car. The thought that I couldn't pick it up for special verse I am trying to remember would be heartbreaking.

They were the sweetest family. I cry as I think of them. The older one telling silly jokes because it made us laugh. Taking them home and we didn't have seat belts for all of them. So some rode where the third seat would be. She had them duck down when she saw blue lights and we didn't realize they stayed down. Later a little voice said, "Mama can we look now"... Thankful for any thing you did. I am grateful for God giving us the opportunity to meet them.

 Please pray for them.

  2. I am praying as well! It's such a sobering reminder when we read about other countries that don't share our blessed freedoms - and know that before it gets better with the return of our Savior, it will get worse. That's one of the reasons I am such a big proponent of teaching encouraging Bible memory verses to my grandchildren! And what a blessing for you to play such an important part in their lives. God is AWESOME!

  4. what a great story of evangelism...
makes me so thankful for our freedoms and blessings...but so sad for those who don't have
    salvation yet.
my heart goes out to those who are working with this family....and may they be able to take the word into their hearts and lives.

  5. Thank you for this reminder to pray for this family. It's amazing how we can take things for granted like having Bibles in our homes that we forget not everyone lives that lifestyle.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte
