Ready for the Adventure

The Dawn announces a new day. It waits to hear what God will say. (Phillip Keller)

I have to laugh at my dog. Whenever he sees me either put on tennis shoes, grab my camera, get my bike, or get his leash he is ready and excited. He will run to his water bowl and take a long drink. He doesn't have a clue whether we are talking a walk in pasture or the road or how long the walk will be, but he is ready. And he trusts me to lead him back home.
Do you see how this could apply to us? I need to start each morning equipped with my prayers and Bible Study and then saying, "Lord I am ready."

John 4:14 "But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

  2. I do see how this applies to us. I want to be ready when He asks me to walk with Him through the day...everyday! I want to drink deeply from that fountain of Living Water:)

  3. I want that same eagerness when I approach my time with God -- drinking in truths He wants to teach. I smiled when I saw the picture of your dog and read about him. My heart smiled when I applied that to my spiritual life.

    May your week be blessed,
    Pamela

  5. I want to be ready for each day's journey, no matter where it may lead. How great that we can trust our Master to always lead us back home. Thanks for sharing.

  6. I love the comparison. Reminds me of an elderly woman in our church when I was a young pastor's wife many many years ago. Her friends would call her, tell her they were coming by to pick her up. When she got in the car she would always ask "Where are we going?" She didn't know where but she was always ready to go.
    Thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,

  8. Oh yes, I do. And I love the quote... in fact I'm copying it right now!

I was blessed by your quiet photos to go along with this thought.

    Blessings, Debbie
