Stand Firm and See the Deliverance

One of my favorite lessons in the Old Testament…
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you…Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s…You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you…Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld….Sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness…Give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes…for His God had given him rest on every side."
2 Chronicles 20

Lessons Learned
They kept the eyes on our Lord…stood firm because of God’s promise that the battle was His…prayed and thanked God for the victory before the battle….sang praises before the battle…received God’s rest.

  2. So glad the battle is not mine! My word for this year has been "peace". This verse from 2 Chronicles 20 is perfect for me!

  3. Fantastic post! That picture of the tree made me think of one of my favorite scriptures:

They are like trees planted along a riverbank,
with roots that reach deep into the water.
Such trees are not bothered by the heat
or worried by long months of drought.
    Their leaves stay green,
and they never stop producing fruit.

    Jeremiah 17:8 (New Living Translation)

I want to be that tree, planted firmly with deep roots that can withstand anything!

BTW: LOVE your sunflower header photo!

  4. Fantastic! Thank you for bringing these scriptures back to my remembrance. We need to be reminded often.
