This is my Father's world,
and to my listening ears
all nature sings, and round me rings
the music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
of rocks and trees, of skies and seas;
his hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world,
the birds their carols raise,
the morning light, the lily white,
declare their maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
he shines in all that's fair;
in the rustling grass I hear him pass;
he speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father's world.
O let me ne'er forget
that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This is my Father's world:
why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King; let the heavens ring!
God reigns; let the earth be glad!

I love this hymn...I learned it as a child in sunday school! May we always remember when we look around and see the beauty of the earth..who created it!!!! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots. Love the white fence and pinto horse - can't get much better than that!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen anything this beautiful around here this fall. I've been so disappointed. But I do agree, My Father's Word causes me to sing. I love the song learned in my childhood. It's still one I love to hear.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have a pretty fall till last week then had several days that the leaves peaked.
ReplyDeleteMay we never forget that this is our Father's world. It's so easy to remember when I see beautiful scenes like these. Thank you, Brenda, for sharing your beautiful pictures with us all.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful place! We have never spent much time in Tennessee...sadly we pass thru on those long drives to Florida...I remember looking out the window and seeing the beautiful hills and rivers valleys and wishing we could stop...
ReplyDeleteBrenda - your photos are beautiful and I often think of that song since I love the outdoors so much.
ReplyDeleteMany blessings,
Joan
Thanks Lisa. Anita we did have some pretty colors here but West Tennessee is not near as pretty as Middle and East Tennessee.
ReplyDeleteFlorida seems a long way from Tn. so I bet it really does from your area.
Brenda I just love this...the photos....the words...all of it. It's sort of similar to what I posted too

And your photos are just beautiful. Wow.
Thanks everyone. Glad I took pictures when I did. The trees are almost bare now. Just a few days difference.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful!
