I Shoot Horses (in early light)

When riding a horse, we leave our fear, troubles, and sadness behind on the ground.

Stand Firm and See the Deliverance

One of my favorite lessons in the Old Testament…
“We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon you…Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s…You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you…Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld….Sing to the Lord and to praise Him for the splendor of His holiness…Give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever. As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes…for His God had given him rest on every side."
2 Chronicles 20

Lessons Learned
They kept the eyes on our Lord…stood firm because of God’s promise that the battle was His…prayed and thanked God for the victory before the battle….sang praises before the battle…received God’s rest.

His Name

Malachi 3:16  "Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard..." --This is us
"A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His Name." Is my name written in the scroll of remembrance? What about when I watched the TV show that allowed the word  "GD." to be said and not censored. A show that you would not expect to hear that word. Bleeping other words but this word has being allowed. Or that book with such good plot and then the word shows up in the middle of it.
"They will be mine says the Lord Almighty in the day when I make up my treasured possession." (17)  "And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. "(18) "But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings." (4:2)
I must always make the right choice and choose to turn it off or walk away from it. I must not allow it to be part of my day. I desire most of all to be His treasured possession. I want the distinction between me and the world to be evident.

What about America?
"If you do not set your heart to honor My Name, says the Lord Almighty, I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings. Yes I have already cursed them, because you have not set your heart to honor Me." Malachi 2:2

Kids Rule

Okay so I said I had posted the last of the sunflower pictures. But these don't count. Pictures of grandkids trump all rules.

Hmmm, is he directing that at his grandmother and her camera?

Is this the little girl I carried (in my arms)...
Is this the little boy at play....
I don't remember growing older...
When did they....

Sunrise Sunset....
Sunrise Sunset....
Slowly flows the years.....
One season following another....
Laden with happiness and tears...
(saw this on another blog...from Fiddler on the Roof)

Just Ear Shots

4 days+3 rides=Fun week
Here the soybeans are in great shape.
A horse-eater--later in the ride it chases us. I know my horse thought see I told it was a horse eater.
Cotton is in bloom, beside it is a private owned airstrip where the owner lands his small plane.

From the Rising of the Sun

"The Mighty One, God the Lord speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets." Ps. 50:1
Dawn follow darkness. Sunset follow the day. Our short sojourn here is marked off in the steady rhythm of the seasons, tides, moons, and sunsets.
I love the fact that God has a plan for the future, for every tomorrow of my life on earth and beyond. Even though I can't figure it all out, He's got it wired. This reassures me that I'm loved and safe. (copied from "The Beauty of God's Blessings")

A Picture Waiting to be Taken

Sometimes you carry a tripod, 2 or 3 lens and study the area trying to get the best shot and
Sometimes
you walk down the road with your point and shoot and just capture the morning light. The beauty is there, you just need to push the button.
